How to get there?
Option 1: Take taxis from Shanghai Pudong International
Airport (cost about 120 CNY / 18 USD) or from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (cost about 90 CNY / 13 USD) to
Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel.
Option 2: Take the world's fastest Maglev Train (431 km/268 miles per hour!) from Shanghai Pudong International Airport
to Longyang Road Subway station (cost 40 CNY / 6 USD), and then take a taxi to the Hotel (cost about 20 CNY / 3 USD).
Option 3: Take No 5 Airport Shuttle Bus from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to East Hospital (cost 18 CNY / 2.5 USD),
and then take a taxi from East Hospital to the Hotel (cost about 20 CNY / 3 USD)
The
nearest subway station is Line 2 Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (Subway Map)(SW and ten-minute walk)

language of the Conference will be English.
Personal Insurance
We recommend that all participants
take out a personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
Climate October in Shanghai is
very pleasant. Temperatures are between 20 - 25°C.
Visas
A valid passport and visa for visiting China are required. You can apply for an entry visa at your local Chinese
Embassy or Consulate General with 1) a valid passport, 2) a visa application form. We strongly recommend
all conference participants to apply for a tourist visa. 3) photos, and 4) visa fees.

Please note that it takes
only 2-4 working days to process your visa application once you have all the documents listed above. It's advised to apply
for your visa only 1-2 months in advance.
Electricity
The electricity is supplied at 220V, 50Hz in China.
Currency Exchange
In
China, only Chinese Yuan (CNY) or RMB is used. One USD is about 6.3 CNY. However, exchange centers can be found at airports,
most hotels and large shopping centers. When exchanging money, please keep your receipt by which you can change any remaining
RMB back to foreign currency when leaving China. Visa, Master, American Express, Diners Club and JCB are accepted in many
department stores, resturants, shops and hotels. You can draw CNY in most ATM machines throughout the city. It may be
difficult to draw cash with credit cards.
The Bank of China and most hotels can cash travelers check
issued by any foreign bank or financial institution. Participants will need to show a passport. Travelers' check signed
over to a third party cannot be cashed in China, but can be presented for collection through the Bank of China.
